Big Horn Sheep
Commonly spotted off of Highway 16 just east of Jasper Townsite out to the Park Gate, around Tangle Ridge in the Columbia Icefield area and on the Maligne Lake Road near Medicine Lake. These surefooted animals thrive in steep rocky habitats and venture down to the highway to lick the salt off of the road, or your car given the opportunity.
