Sunwapta Falls
A few minutes walk from the highway (0.4 km), these falls tumble into a limestone gorge. A foot bridge affords thrilling views into a deep, right-angled canyon where the Sunwapta River turns a corner to plunge toward the Athabasca River. A short hiking trail follows the riverbank downstream to more falls and rapids. Sunwapta Falls is 55 km (35 miles) south of Jasper off of Highway 93. Services available are motel, restaurant and service station.
